"Wine & Cuisine" is a 7-day package tour (guided) rich on wine tasting and workshops. The present-day territory of Armenia is the center of the Kura-Araxes Culture – a civilization that existed in the 4th-3rd millennium BC. And the art of winemaking was an integral part of this civilization. Winemaking traditions were preserved through thousands of years and survived to this day along with classical methods of winemaking and types and grape varieties by regions. The territory of Armenia is home to such grape varieties as Areni, Kharji, Kaptun, Garan Dmak, etc. Georgia, meanwhile, is known for Mskhali, Rkatsiteli, Tsinandali, Khvanchkara, Kindzmarauli and other grape varieties.

This tour offers a unique opportunity to visit a large number of attractions in Armenia, located within the distance of 150 km around Yerevan. The program is rich on wine tasting and workshops. Tourists will visit interesting sites related both to the history of Armenia and the development of winemaking on the territory of modern Armenia. The tour also offers an opportunity to get acquainted with cutting-edge technology of wine production in the country.

Tourists will visit the Areni-1 Cave archaeological site were the cradle of the world's winemaking - a 6100-years-old winery was discovered. And delicious food and culinary workshops on Armenian dishes make this program interesting for gourmets and wine lovers, as well as for chefs, sommeliers and others.

We will also visit several wineries to get acquainted with modern technologies, blends of different grape varieties, and will, of course, taste various types of their products.

For those who are willing to test their skills, interactive “blind” wine tasting can be organized.

Our guests will also have an opportunity to visit the legendary Ararat cognac factory in Yerevan to learn about the achievements of Armenian masters and to taste variety of original Armenian cognacs.
